About Mariana Galindo

Mariana Galindo is a Simulation & Tailoring Supervisor at Pixar Animation Studios, most recently having finished on the studio’s Summer 2026 feature film, Toy Story 5. Over a 20+ year career spanning PDI/DreamWorks and Pixar, Mariana has helped bring animated worlds to life through the motion of clothing, hair, creature sim, props, and vegetation — the subtle details that make characters feel grounded, expressive, and believable.

Her work sits at the intersection of art, technology, and storytelling. Mariana leads teams in developing tools, shaping project strategies, and defining the visual language of simulation to support the emotional needs of each film. With a leadership style rooted in collaboration, curiosity, and innovation, she creates environments where artists and technologists can push creative boundaries together.

Having led on such films as, How to Train Your Dragon 2, Toy Story 4, Turning Red, and Elio. Mariana earned her B.A. in Fine Art with a minor in Information Technology from Santa Clara University and returned to her alma mater to complete her Executive MBA in June 2026.
